Dr. Jackie's RP Lab

screaming-resonance:

doctor-jackie-hyde:

If she had to listen to one more student, she was going to explode.

“Useless children,” she muttered to herself, hunched and pacing the hall outside her classroom like a wolverine. At the sound of hesitant footsteps behind her, Dr. Hyde whirled around and glared.

“What do you want?” she spat.

Taken aback by the sudden outburst, a reply did not come easily to Crona.

“Well— uhm— I’m just— Maka said—”

The swordsman could feel Ragnarok hitting him over the head. A scolding was soon to follow, he knew.

“Get it together, Crona! Don’t let that stupid cow scare you so badly. You don’t want me to go back to stealing your food, do you?”

Of course not.

“Ragnarok— No, don’t do that. I need food to live, okay? If you take it all I’ll be nothing but skin and bones and I don’t think I can deal with that!”

Facing the teacher, Crona bowed his head, mumbling apologies. She’s really scary, Crona thought. Maybe I should just leave her alone for now..

“I was just on my way to m-my room, uh..”

Crona trailed off, unsure how to address the woman.

“Good,” said Hyde, taking a breath and calming down a little. She was in control today. Of course she was. Soon she would be back at home, a beaker of formula in her hand and her personality stabilized once more.

She put a quaking hand on Crona’s shoulder, squeezed it and cracked a nervous grin. “You have a good rest of your day.”

@Dr. Jackie

“It’s nice to see you again, Maka.” Dr. Jackie beamed, her briefcase full of beakers and formulas dangling from her right hand. Maka was such a nice girl, always showing up on time for classes and trying her best at everything. It was no wonder that Ms. Hyde had never had a problem with her. “How have you been? I hope your day has been a pleasant one.”

Maka paused and turned toward the teacher, a smile automatically finding its way onto her face. She had always liked Dr. Jackie—she was nice, and her classes were very interesting. They may not be the easiest of classes.. but hey, Maka didn’t mind a challenge every once in a while.

“Hello Dr. Jackie,” She said, bowing her head politely, “Today has been really busy, but other than that it was good.”

“How about yours?—How have you been?”

How had she been? How had she been!? Well, after dealing with Black Star vandalizing the scientific equipment, Soul sleeping through lessons, and Kid trying to reorganize her laboratory, she was feeling peachy. Nevertheless, Jackie donned a smile in her usual mannerism and replied without a hint of sarcasm,

“Fantastic!”

“Oh, dear. I don’t believe we’ve met before,” said Jackie, noting the appearance of the woman. Was this the witch they had spoken of at faculty orientation? If so, she was going to have to fight her, and if there was one thing Jackie disliked, it was battling. Nervously, she lowered her hand, preparing to transform if needed.

@ doctor-stein: Shakin’ Some Dust Off

She couldn’t believe she was late. After days of preparation, months of applications, and years of studies, Dr. Jackie Hyde was going to be late for her very first chemistry class. On top of it, she had skipped breakfast, her persona-stabilizing potions were running low, and gosh darn it, she had forgotten her lab coat at home.

Throwing the door of Class Crescent Moon open with a slam, Hyde swept into the room with several long-legged strides and began writing her name on the chalkboard, completely unaware of the havoc she was wreaking on the poor piece of chalk.

“My name is Dr. Jackie Hyde and if you are thinking about slacking off in this class, then get out.”

She seemed to be completely oblivious to the already-teaching Doctor Stein.
